The latest in the series of two-weekly Friday evening Satsangs, given on 20th November 2020, and hosted by Mandala Yoga Ashram.
Swamiji was reflecting on mortality; a friend of his had died recently. But he made the point strongly, that it is healthy, and not morbid, to reflect on mortality, and the fact that one day, we too will die. Why is this not a morbid reflection?
Firstly, because it gives us a greater appreciation of this life, while we have it.
Secondly, because such reflection opens us to awareness of Conscious Presence.
The subject moved on to Time, prompted by talking of near death experience and how it can push one completely into the present moment, which is actually timeless.
Swamiji expanded this, saying that actually Yoga is a process of provoking the possibility of going into the Timeless.
Several more questions were answered, then a guided meditation to finish. Please enjoy the video below.
